Our young family – my husband Jonathan Boyer, I and our two daughters Sarah and Julia – joined St Chrysostom’s in 1985. I taught in the Sunday School, and then Confirmation Class. I have served as a lector, and as a member of the Flower Guild, the Stewardship Committee, and the Vestry. When First Sunday Suppers were held, I was one of the organizing team and I am a member of Women of St. Chrysostom’s.
My professional career mostly has been in the non-profit sector. I served as the executive director of Openlands, was the first director of the Great Lakes Protection Fund, then director of the Gaylord & Dorothy Donnelley Foundation. I am currently an Independent Director of the Nuveen Funds.
St Chrysostom’s has been a constant in our lives. We have seen change in the church and its congregation but also some powerful continuity. I am honored to serve in the search for our new Rector.
