“Las Abogadas – Asylum Seekers at Our Southern Border”    Join us on Tuesday, Oct. 29, from 7 to 9 pm in the Harding Room for a screening of Las Abogadas, a documentary film that tells the story of desperate asylum seekers at the U.S.- Mexico border and the intrepid women attorneys who help them. In collaboration with the Sanctuary Task Force of the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago and with the support of St. Chrys’s Closet, we offer this event as a fundraiser for the Latin American Relief Fund (https://latinamericanrelieffund.org/) to support the Albergue ABBA in Celaya, Mexico, a shelter for migrants who have suffered life-altering injuries on their journey north.
